Trooper Coughlin Medical Fund
Trooper Coughlin was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain on Friday (12/2). Trp. Coughlin is undergoing surgery today (12/5) and will be in the hospital for several days. Upon recovery from the surgery, he will then begin radiation treatments here in Billings. There will be a long recovery following the surgery and radiation treatments, as well as many follow-up doctor appointments to come.
Trooper Coughlin is stationed in Custer, MT, which is 50 miles east of the Billings medical facilities. Thus, each time he comes to Billings, it is a 100 mile round trip. In addition to travel, there are meals and potentially hotel costs for the family associated with the treatments. These are the immediate needs to address at this moment. The balance of any funds would then be utilized to help off-set the overall medical costs that are not covered by insurance.
Trooper Coughlin is a dedicated 31 year veteran trooper who has served the citizens of Yellowstone, Bighorn and Treasure Counties his entire career.
