Hello my name is Kristin, I’m kindly asking for help, which I never do, but this time I truly do need it. Trixie is a 3 month old Nigerian Dwarf goat whom I saved with her brother as newborns. I’ve raised them to be therapy goats, they visit the sick and elderly in our area, do special visits, and are the stars of my farm’s Goat Yoga program. Trixie and Felix are pretty well known in our small town, they spread lots of smiles and love. Recently Trixie had an accident resulting in a fractured shoulder. With goats it’s very difficult to splint and cast shoulder fractures because of their conformation, and the exact location of Trixie’s fracture made it impossible to be treated by cast or splint. She has an appointment Monday , August 8th at Cornell Large Animal Hospital to have a plate put in to fix her shoulder so she can regain use of her front leg. Euthanasia is not an option for Trixie.
