TRIXIE WAS ATTACKED & NEEDS MEDICAL CARE

Donation protected
Tuesday, October 15th at 3pm. I was walking Trixie by our house when a dog just pounced on her and latched on to Trixie's back. I heard Trixie yelping and trying to get away but the dog's jaw was LOCKED on Trixie's skin. Finally I pulled them apart. I immediately tried to calm Trixie down, check for injuries and then ask if the other dog has been vaccinated for rabies. The woman was uncooperative so I called the Brookline Police. They took down my information while another officer took down the other woman's information. After I was done with them I immediately ran over to Brookline Veterinary Clinic (in the Beantown Bed and Biscuit location).

I was freaking out. FREAKING OUT. Trixie is my everything. She's my service dog, she's my best friend, my baby with unconditional love. She has helped me through my depression, my PTSD, the death of my Dad. I wouldn't be alive without her. Even though I still suffer from Depression and PTSD, she's my reason for waking up each day, my reason for getting up, my reason for living. When I got to the Vet, I was shaking, and crying. I think they all agreed I was in worse shape than Trixie. Trixie was scared out of her mind but I was the one sobbing uncontrollably.

They were able to take us right away. They saw that Trixie's eyes were more red than normal, and one eye kept closing, and seemed to hurt to the touch. They suspect her cornea was scratched. They also said that Trixie's back will be bruised and inflamed for a few days. They gave us two prescriptions, one is a pill to get her to relax (it's hard for them to listen to her heart when she's stressed....the heart will make it sound like a heart murmur...so we can only listen accurately if she's calm). We also got a pill for the inflammation on her back and eye. The bill for the quicky check up is $110. But, the bill for the appointment this upcoming Tuesdays will be a lot more. A LOT MORE.

We have a follow up appointment on Tuesday.

However, the doctors want me to make an appointment for Trixie with an Ophthalmologist at BluePearl in Charlestown, MA.....I can't even afford an eye doctor for ME...but Trixie needs one...so I've gotta make it happen someone.  This is going to be expensive. VERY expensive.

I'm still unemployed, although those who follow us on Instagram know I'm always on an interview. I'm working my butt off looking for a job. I', trying....hard. But right now my cards are maxed out, my income is zero, m savings are basically gone because i have to spend it on rent. If you have any spare change you can part with. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. IT'LL ALL GO TOWARDS TRIXIE'S MEDICAL BILLS.

Thanks for listening.
