Trista’s fight with a brain tumor
Donation protected
On February 15th, Trista was taken to Prince County Hospital after being found unconscious following some seizures. After a CT scan and emergency interventions she was transferred to The Moncton Hospital neuro-ICU where she underwent emergent brain surgery to remove the majority of a brain tumour. Right now, we know the next steps will be radiation and chemotherapy to treat the remainder and hope to delay any further growth. In addition, she has broken both of her shoulders, likely during the seizures, and had undergone shoulder surgery to fix the breaks. Trista will require physiotherapy/rehabilitation as she heals and waits for her oncology treatments to begin.
Those of you who know Trista know how kind-hearted, thoughtful, and giving she is. In turn, we have been blown away by the love and support we have received in our ability to help Trista recover.
Some of you have reached out to ask how you can help. The biggest help we can think of is to help us support Trista’s care, recovery, and our ability to help her through this. Right now, with so much uncertainty about Trista’s ability to return to work as well as the requirements for the treatment plan such as travel, medications, time off, etc. we humbly ask that you donate to help us fund some of these expenses.
