Tristan’s fight is coming to an end

Hi everyone. Most of y'all know how much of a miracle my son has been, for others I will try to summarize.
All of the odds were stacked against Tristan from 18 weeks of pregnancy and day 1 of life. Most doctors said he wouldn’t survive 2 weeks and here he is at 2 years old. When he was 2 weeks old he was transferred to Children’s of Alabama where they were able to put him on dialysis and saved his life. When he got bigger and more stable they transferred him back to Cook Children’s of Fort Worth where they continued to provide excellent medical care, I Thank God for these 2 wonderful hospitals because they gave me 2 more beautiful years with my BabyBug. But unfortunately a few months ago the dialysis that he was on stopped working due to an infection, so they had to put him on Hemo-Dialysis which worked for a little while but I could see my baby suffering. A few weeks ago we had a care conference with Tristan’s doctors because he wasn’t doing so well due to the fact that he had the flu and an infection in his lungs. They informed us that a kidney transplant was no longer an option due to the fact that he couldn’t handle the immunosuppressant meds because he gets sick so easily already that putting him on those meds would most likely be detrimental. Due to that and the fact that he would not have any quality of life whatsoever we made the extremely difficult decision to remove him from dialysis and make him comfortable in his last moments with us. The doctors have given an estimate of 7-10 days but it could be longer or shorter just depending on him so we have taken off work to be with him in his last moments and make sure he knows how loved and cared for he truly is and to have time to grieve the loss of such a special part of us. Tristan has been such a strong fighter his entire life and he is truly inspirational. His story will be remembered forever.
Unfortunately we are going to be struggling with bills due to having to be off work and spending every waking moment in the hospital with Tristan, so if you can please donate, if you can’t please just share this beautiful little boys story.
