Tristan Taylor’s Figure Skating
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tristan Taylor. I’m a figure skater from Saskatchewan Canada. I’ve been skating as long as I can remember and I fell in love with competitive figure skating when I was 5 years old. I first decided I wanted to skate in pairs when I saw Rudi Swiegers and Paige Lawrence skating at the Wawota Skating Club. I made my mom sign me up for lessons in Wolseley Saskatchewan and since that day I’ve been in love with the sport. I picked up pairs skating 6 years ago and was fortunate enough to work hard and be chosen to represent Canada at the 2023 ISU Junior World Championships in Calgary. As fate would have it, my skating journey has led me to decide on moving to Colorado Springs this season to train at the U.S. Olympic Training Centre, where I will be skating with a new partner. I have been mostly funded by myself for the last few years and have been working full time while also training. This move to Colorado presents higher costs than training in Regina. I will still be required to work a job while there and will be supporting myself through my work and coaching. Donations will go towards my expenses of coaching and ice time, as well as choreography and other skating related incidentals. The funds from this will ensure I can continue my training and follow my dreams in figure skating.
