Hi, this is Catina Piliaris in Issaquah, WA and our son, Tristan, was involved in a life-threatening accident on his motorcycle when a driver made an illegal left turn in front of him. He and the bike were pinned under the vehicle and had to be extricated. His bike was totaled, and he sustained numerous injuries that will prevent him from returning to work and his hobbies for a considerable amount of time.

While insurance will cover many of the hospital fees, his job is 100% commission, and his legal team advised us that there will undoubtedly be many other expenses which will not be covered. We're struggling to provide more direct ways for people to help with his healing and wanted to offer this as a way to show support for him.

Since it will be months before Tristan is able to return to work and resume his hobbies (working on his car, helping his friends with their car projects, riding motorcycles, etc.) we felt the funds would help cover some of his costs in the meantime. We have a savings account for Tristan that the GoFundMe funds will be transferred to until he's ready to withdraw the money for use. One of the first items it will go to is fixing his project car, which is currently the only car he has. We have an appointment at Automeister to do a safety and reliability overhaul on his 1998 BMW to determine why his brand new battery is being drained by the car, fix his speedometer, and fix the fuel gauge as well (along with any other issues they find). Tristan loves working on his car, but we need to ensure he has reliable transportation until his body is ready for slinging wrenches again.

The money will also provide him with a cushion until he's able to return to work full time which will alleviate the financial stressors so he can focus solely on healing and getting stronger. Please feel free to contribute if you feel inclined.
