Trish's fight; in it to win it!
The story: ...I never saw myself creating a go fund me page... and yet, here we are. Well friends and family I guess the time has come to share with you what has to be the most difficult news I've received since Dad’s passing 14 years ago..... Mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer, stage 3. We never in a million years saw this coming, but how selfish of me, who does see it coming? Now that we are in the beginning stages of this fight, I am learning how devastating and cruel this process is. I am starting to understand what so many of my friends have gone through with their loved ones... And I could describe it with many negative words, but what will that accomplish? So I am here to focus on the good. My mother really is the epitome of why God created mothers and what he intended them to be for their children and it is because of her that I work so hard to be better with my own. And anyone who knows my mother understands how important she is to all of us.
The facts: She was diagnosed April 25th. She started her first round of Chemo Thursday May 11th and will continue for 18 weeks. Then follows surgery, radiation and of course countless testing throughout the whole process. The purpose of this page is obviously to raise money to help with the ridiculously insane medical expenses and her crazy deductible of $12,000… but that is not all we need. This is the first time our family has been touched by cancer and we are working hard to gather information to make it as smooth as possible, so any of these things will make a big difference in our big fight for her life!
NEW UPDATE - July 17, 2017 :
Mom has decided to switch treatments to a well known Doctor in Reno Nevada who practices alternative options. Dr. James Forsythe has been in the medical field for a majority of his life and has a very high success rate within his practice. Even though his healing rates are great, insurance does not cover alternative medicine so this new treatment will be completley out of pocket and expected to reach $60,000. So everything that has been and will be raised is very much needed and appreciated! And of course your prayers! Thank you!
Ways you can help: As a family we strongly believe in the power of prayer, encouragement and working as a team. We need a team of prayer warriors, but we also need other things and again, if you know my mom you know she NEVER asks anyone for anything, she is always the one giving, always taking care of everyone, always sacrificing for the good of others and it is her turn to experience how that kind of sacrificial love feels. We need people who live close by who can help with meals and we need anyone who has been through this who can simply offer their own experience and wisdom. Even just a thoughtful get well card can really do wonders during this intense time. And the easiest way you can help is by simply sharing this page and asking others to share. The more the merrier!
