Trisha's Hand Surgery

Hello! As many of my friends and family know, I was in a wreck on April 23rd. I'm also an Esthetician and have been unable to go back to work due to a very bad knuckle break. When the wreck happened, I had just got kicked off of insurance because I turned 26 on March 30th... so due to me not having insurance at the time of the accident, I could not find a hand specialist that would even see me... over 2 months later and I am still trying to recover from this. I ended up going to JPS and they put me in a cast and cleared me for physical therapy. One week into physical therapy, my therapist referred me to a well-known hand surgeon, Dr. Bates at Hand to Shoulder in Fort Worth. Dr. Bates informed me that not only is my fracture not healed, but there is a piece stuck underneath that will forever cause me to not be able to bend that finger again, unless removed. There's also no more cartilage in my knuckle, the way he explained it to me was that I basically need a knuckle replacement, but there is no such thing.. I may be looking at multiple surgeries in my future. I have bills and debt piling up, credit cards maxed out, and now I have to try to pay for this surgery. I've been donating plasma, anything that I can do help with bills.. but it would mean the world to me if out of the kindess of your heart, were able to help out in any way.. I am still unsure about when I will be able to go back to work, but I am trying to get this first surgery done asap. Thank you for reading and feel free to share!
