As I sit here and reflect on my recent visit to the hospital to see Trisha, I am left with a heartache that is difficult to describe. I know many of you are worried and would like to know what’s going on, so with Joe’s blessing, I will sum it up. On Tuesday, September 13th, Trisha had Chiari Decompression Head Surgery - which means they removed bone at the back of her skull to create more space for her brain. This surgery is something that she had planned for months. Yesterday, she had still been in the hospital recovering when she suffered a couple strokes and stopped breathing. Doctors and nurses were able to resuscitate her after a few minutes. She immediately went into an emergency surgery where they removed more of her skull to create room for the additional swelling in her brain. Doctors have since taken her off sedation, but she is currently on a ventilator. She hasn’t “woke” up yet but she has made small progressions. The outcome is unclear at the moment and we will have to wait for upcoming days as the swelling goes down in her brain to know more. Joe has received many thoughts and prayers, which are appreciated more than anyone could know. With the unforeseen future, I think the best way we could help is to help relieve some financial burden for them. With neither of them being able to work at this time, things will eventually start to build. I want to help prevent additional hardships for them. I am asking you to please donate whatever you can and show this beautiful women and her adorable family all the support they deserve!
