Tripp's Battle Against Leukemia

On April 28th 2022, the Mastey family received heart wrenching news: their sweet little boy Tripp, just one week short of his 3rd birthday, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. ALL Type B is a type of blood cancer that affects the production of white blood cells which help the body fight off infections. Tripp has endured a plethora of tests, including blood transfusions, a spinal tap and a bone marrow biopsy—unfortunately this is just the beginning of a 2-3 year journey that includes regular chemotherapy.

For those of you who don't know our Tripp, he is the youngest of four but can definitely hold his own amongst his brothers and sister. At a very young age Tripp gravitated towards athletics and has become a natural born athlete. You can often find him hitting a home run, swinging a golf club, or kicking a soccer ball. When he isn't playing sports, he's jamming out to his favorite song or making his family laugh with his witty one- liners. He is always full of surprises! We believe Tripp's tenacity, fearlessness, and scrappy demeanor will make the difference as he faces this challenge.

 

 

The amount of love, prayers and encouragement that have already been poured out on the Masteys is overwhelming. There have been so many people who have reached out wanting to help.
