Hi my name is Trinity Garcia and I’m an undergrad student at Texas State University! I’m studying Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology along with minors in Biology and Pre-Medical studies My ultimate goal is to go to medical school after graduating but there are a lot of steps I need to take to get there. It is super important that I get some clinical experience under my belt!

This summer is a perfect time for me to focus on this aspect of my journey, which is why I’m looking to go to EMT school. The schooling would be a few months of learning essential skills needed to become a certified EMT-B! With this certification, I would be able to get clinical experience and insight on the career that I am headed towards.

I’ve picked this specific certification to pursue because emergency medicine is something that I’ve been interested in and I’d love to learn more about it. In studying Public Health, I’ve also come to learn that we are in desperate need of first responders and I’d like to help with that need while I can. I would love to both work and volunteer as an EMT-B throughout my time as a student.

The program I’d like to study under has been approved by DSHS and meets the requirements for licensure in Texas. The program will consist of online work, hands on practice, and field experience. The overall program cost is $1,870 which will cover tuition and fees.
