We are an elementary homeschool robotics team competing with VEX IQ. In our first year of competition, we have won two consecutive VEX IQ tournaments and have earned two team awards, two skill awards, one programming award and one design award. We were invited to compete in the Arizona State Championship and the US Open Championship.
At the Arizona Championship our team won awards in four of the five categories: Team, Skill, Programming and Design, qualifying us for VEX Worlds 2016, in Louisville, Kentucky! Pretty exciting for a first year team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for our team to learn from other teams around the world and to further our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. It is an honor for our team to represent Arizona and the United States as we compete with elite robotics teams from around the world.
Our team has won three team awards because of their ability to collaborate with other teams to maximize the partnership of two robots with different abilities. They have helped other teams solve problems and even modify their robots to maximize their potential.
As we are a homeschool team, we do not have the resources that a public, private or charter school has access to. We invest in our students because we believe that each individual is unique in his learning style and ability. We are responsible for all of our own expenses including robot parts, computer software, competition registration fees, and travel expenses.
We feel so blessed that we've been able to progress so far in one year of robotics study and would love, if you feel led, for you to partner with us in our journey.
We are raising funds to finance our team registration fee, airfare and accommodation for our trip to VEX Worlds in Kentucky. We will be in Kentucky from April 19- 24, 2016. We need all funds by April 1st.
These boys are eager to share their knowledge and experience. If your school group is interested in having our team give a robotics presentation, please contact us.
Thank you for your love and support!
