Hi, my name is Nolan Watts, and I’m a 17-year-old senior at Trinity-Pawling School. I’m also a goalie on the hockey team, and I’m organizing a charity hockey game to raise money for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) foundation. All profits from the event will be donated directly to support injured and disabled veterans and their families.
To get this project started, I’m reaching out for additional support to bring my idea to life.
My passion for this cause comes from my family’s strong military background. My dad proudly served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, including multiple deployments to Iraq. My Paw Paw served 4 years in the Vietnam War, earning two Purple Heart medals. My cousin is currently serving overseas in Germany.
Hockey has always been a big part of my life, and so has the military. By combining the two, I hope to create an event that not only celebrates the sport I love, but also honors the sacrifices of those who have served our country.
