Trinity and Nathan Taub

Hi all. My name is Rhiannon and I, along with a number of friends, have decided to try to fundraise for our dear friends, Trinity and Nathan, who are going through a bit of a housing crisis and could use the help of friends and family.
On December 22nd, the pipes froze in the small, antiquated house that Trinity and Nathan rent in Portland, Oregon. Over the next two days they experienced some electrical issues and on the 24th of December, a fuse blew in their refrigerator which caused a fire in their fuse box (the house still has original knob and tube wiring!). The fire professionals expressed dismay at the state of the wiring and told the couple that the house was unsafe to stay in.
Trinity and Nathan were forced to spend the next two and a half weeks (from 12/24-1/11) living in a hotel room while there was no power at the house. They will be compensated eventually for the money for room and dining but who knows how long that will take.
Upon return to their home, it has become apparent that the living situation is not tenable for them anymore. They have found a place but lack some of the funds necessary to make the move happen. Nathan has recently started a new job and is trying to save up his time off, as Trinity has a surgery coming up in February that he would like to be able to take time off for. Packing and moving is physically and mentally challenging and Trinity’s medical issues make it hard for her to help Nathan as much as she would like.
Our goal for this fundraiser is to be able to take some of the stress and demand out of this move for them. We would love to be able to pay for movers to pack them up and move them to their new place so that Nathan does not have to move them by himself. It takes a village and every little bit helps! Thank you for helping us help our friends.
