Trina's Breast Cancer Fundraiser

My name is Michele Jacobs, and I am Trina Bischoff’s cousin. Unfortunately, my dear friend and cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer this past fall. Those of you who know her know that she is an extraordinary person. I have known Trina all my life. I have always looked up to her. She has always been fearless and ready to fight for what’s right. She also took in many people throughout the years, including me when I was in college. She has a huge heart, and if you are lucky enough to be her friend, you know just what I’m talking about. She is loving, boisterous, unbelievably strong, and always puts her family and friends before herself.

This past year Trina and her family have faced a significant burden, Breast Cancer. Trina has been in and out of the hospital several times over the past few months. She has had multiple surgeries and infections. She has undergone chemotherapy and starts radiation soon. Unfortunately, she is too sick to even get out of bed most days.

 

Due to her illness, she has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return for the rest of the year. In addition, some of her medical expenses are not covered, and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter. Trina and her husband Dan are strong and resilient; however, costs are piling up, and they will continue to do so as she fights this battle.

Trina and Dan are two of the most selfless people I have ever known. They are always ready to give their love and support to anyone who needs it. For example, they came over this past fall and noticed we needed some work on staining our back porch and power washing our house and Dan just started working on it. They refused when I tried to give them money. This is an example of just the kind of people they are. Many of their friends have many more stories just like this one.

 

Now, it’s time that we send back some of that love and support to Trina and Dan. Anything you can donate will be genuinely appreciated. Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so she can focus on beating this thing. So please spread the word and share.
