Hope4Trina’s Stage IV Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Hello you lovely humans,
This is the story of Trina — wife to Rudy, mother to Maliyah, family and friend we all love and adore, as well as bad bitch fighting the ongoing battle of breast cancer.
On September 20, 2022, just one day prior to her 37th birthday, Trina received a phone call that changed her life. It was the day she found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After this unbelievable news was given, it was not too long after where Trina kept facing a series of unfortunate events.
The fight was no longer simply physical, but also became mental and emotional. From her 7 month old (at the time) daughter getting the chickenpox on Thanksgiving and this family trio suffering from COVID during Christmas, to an overwhelming amount of mental health struggles and the endless tribulations surrounding job security and income — it has been a never ending cycle in such a short timeframe.
Trina’s transparency to express her moments of fragility is admirable since there will ultimately be good and bad days, but she continues to welcome each day with optimism. It is her vulnerability to share some of her journey that is compelling, to say the least.
One thing Trina does always highlight is the love and support that everyone continues to provide. No gesture is too small, and no deed goes unnoticed. On behalf of Trina, thank you to all who have reached out in some way, shape or form — whether it be a message to ask how she is doing, or a food delivery because you know how that girl loves to eat.
Not only does Trina epitomize resiliency because of her fight against breast cancer and battles with mental health, but also because she thinks of others even while facing her own struggles. This is why this GoFund Me has been created by Adda Wong (friend). Though she may not want to ask for assistance, we want to provide a helping hand on her behalf. Trina is currently not working for some reasons more obvious than others, and the amount of medical expenses from her hospital visits are piling up. Any amount to alleviate this financial burden is appreciated, and even sharing this link is more than enough.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
