On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 Trina Bennett suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was emergently airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. Trina is the wife of my colleague and friend, Greg Bennett, who works as a Vascular Technician at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
You may or may not know that ruptured brain aneurysms are fatal in 50% of cases. But Trina is fighting hard to recover. She is currently in the ICU at MGH. The time since the event has been an emotional rollercoaster for her family, but especially for their 13 year-old-son Tristan.
Trina will remain at MGH for a few more weeks and then hopefully will be transferred to an acute inpatient rehabilitation program where she will undergo hours of physical therapy every day.
The road to recovery will be long and difficult. This family needs our emotional and financial support. All donations will help with lost wages, out-of-pocket healthcare costs, travel expenses and any additional unexpected expenses. Any donation you can make will help ease this difficult journey for the Bennett family.
