Welcome all of Katrina's friends and family.

As many of you know, your friend and loved one Katrina has taken care of two adorable cats for the last 15 years. As you also know, Katrina gives endlessly, has spent her life and career taking care of and putting others above herself, and has taken her responsibilities as a pet owner seriously. For the last 15 years, her cats Atty and Minnie have been treated like family. They have been Katrina's rock throughout the years, and they have received the care and love every pet deserves.

Around mid-August, Atty got sick. After weeks of medical issues and vet visits, it was determined that she had gastric large cell lymphoma, and shortly thereafter, on 8/30, she passed away. Katrina was devastated, but held it together to be there for Minnie. After Atty passed, Minnie stopped eating. They were littermates and together for 15 years, so everyone thought she was heartbroken and needed some time. After a couple of weeks of vet visits and a week-long stay in the ICU, Minnie passed away on 9/18. The vet says it was also from cancer, but some would say from a broken heart after losing Atty.

We all expect and know something can happen to our pets that can cause an impact financially. We're all prepared for that the best we can be. The unique part of this situation is the unfortunate circumstances of both Atty and Minnie passing away close together, and both needing extensive medical support leading up to it. Because Katrina was not going to let either of them go without trying every option under the sun, that has left some large vet bills.

You all know Katrina. She's as tough as they come, and she will bear this weight alone if we let her. Katrina is also the person that thinks of every other person during their hard times, and sometimes it's hard to remember to take care of the person that always takes care of everyone else. Because of that, we've started this Go Fund Me. Vet bills are currently in the ballpark of $13,000. Katrina is prepared to take care of them, but even clearing a portion of that will help ease the impact, and allow her to focus on what comes next for her future pet family.
