My name is Georgina and I am reaching out to keep moving forward. I began this campaign last year as I headed into this season, and now as it draws to a close, I am once again looking to the future and how I can make another season possible.
When I moved to Santa Fe two years ago, I came to deepen my spiritual practice by living in a Zen monastery. It was an incredible experience and I grew more than I could have ever predicted. One huge unexpected practice I found was triathlon training. It began because I didn't have a good reason not to, and it has continued because I have grown to love and depend on it in my life. My training has provided me with strength of both body and mind. It has helped me to remain focused and to drop old stories that no longer serve me. When I look back at where I started and see where I am now...I'm astonished that I've met many of the goals I set for myself. It leaves me wide open to keep reaching for new ones, believing that I can succeed and continue to grow.
While I no longer live at the Zen center, I still spend my life trying to put good into the world and benefit others. My triathlon training helps me to remember that anything is possible and that with a community of people around me, there is nothing I can't do. I believe that when we are able to do the things we love which make us happy and healthy, we provide the opportunity for others to do the same. I ask for your help in supporting my triathlon practice, so I may continue to be an example of hard work and devotion to something that brings me great joy. I cannnot do this without the support of others...the support of my community.
