Trimming towards Tomorrow: Relocate TBC together
Donation protected
Update: Due to having a mutual aid benefit thrown for TBC by some dear friends, I have turned off the donations. Thanks to everyone who donated and I’ll be posting pictures of the new shop and where your hard earned money went. I welcome you to come to the event on Sunday, March 24 from 3-8p at The Glass Factory in Tacoma. Kim Archer will be performing. Angie Lynn will be performing. We will have a DJ and dance party. Specialty cocktails. Food, and some awesome silent auction items including a signed Megan Rapinoe jersey, Reign tickets, Storm tickets, local art, and more.
Hello, dear friends, family, and fabulous patrons of TBC! We're launching 'Trimming Towards Tomorrow,' to help our cherished chop shop comb through an unexpected knot. Our story? It’s a bit hairy, but here’s the buzz: We were happily snipping away under the roof of another business, when our host business folded. We were left without a space—our building's owner wouldn't lease to us directly. But we're not just fading into the background; we will snip through this challenge and find a new home.
Throughout the years, this community has been nothing short of amazing. Your support has not only fueled our passion but has woven us into the fabric of Tacoma. We are deeply grateful for the laughter, stories, and trust you've shared with us. It's your unwavering support that inspires us to keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacle.
Now, we're not just going to mullet over and accept defeat. As a proud LGBTQ+ focused and owned barber shop, we've always strived to offer more than just haircuts; we provide a safe space where everyone, regardless of how they identify, can look and feel their best. This commitment has been at the heart of what we do, creating an environment where all feel welcome, respected, and celebrated. This campaign is not just about relocating—it's about preserving a sanctuary for our community.
Funds raised will cover the costs of moving, compensate for lost wages during the transition, and help us build out a new space where we can continue to offer top-notch cuts. Every donation helps us maintain our commitment to excellence and ensures our community space remains a cut above.
Thank you for supporting TBC's 'Trimming Towards Tomorrow.' We're ready to cut a path to our new beginning.
