***The miracle cat*** 3-legged Trigger (aka: Fatty, Black Cat, Riggs, Fatty J) had stone blockage and had emergency surgery in June. We thought it was OK, but then found fluid forming in his abdomen. It was from an underlying heart failure/disease, spiked by the bladder incident. He rebounded great and was responding wonderfully to meds!! But then a month later his stones hadn’t dissolved and he became blocked again. :( Everything else is great, kidneys and liver and heart responding great to meds. I just couldn’t put him to sleep over stupid kidney stones, when his quality of life is still OK and he has been happy. So he had another emergency unblock surgery and another surgery to remove the stones and expand his urethra to avoid this again. I’m trying to help him as much as I can; he is my whole world.

His Story: His first $8,000 bill was in 2002 when he was a little over a year old. I had saved this itty bitty black kitty in October 2000 when his mom left her litter in the cold. My best friend and I smuggled them in our college apartment and bottle fed him and his sister to save their lives. In 2002 he snuck outside on the balcony and fell 5 floors to concrete. A miracle and $8,000 later, this kitty became a THREE legged kitty and was “famous” for his loving nature at the vet in Philly. They told me he reached his max velocity speed and could have fallen off the Empire State Building and landed just as hard. He was in medical journals, had his own website and the President of the school even called me personally and took off some money to help. As a full time college kid, I worked three jobs to pay it off. With the help of State College Area Vet Hospital (Thank you Dr. Kocher & staff) and University of Penn Vet School (Thank you Dr. Volk & “Hot Doctor” Dr. Mayhew & staff) he pulled through and has been my soul companion for 18 years. *************************************************
Trigger is my “cat dog” and those of you who’ve met him know how special and unique he is. He been by my side through every part of my life; every move, every holiday, every new home, every job and comforted me through every heartbreak. I don’t even know how to live life without him. *************************************************
I’ve been out of work while relocating so this expense was a shock. I appreciate all of you who reached out and wanted a page to share. He is loved by so many of you and I’m so grateful for all the comments, prayers, support and thoughts. You’ve all been with us for a long time, some from the very beginning.... and if you’d like to help him out, any amount is so incredibly appreciated. ❤️
