Help with Triggers emergency vet bills

Donation protected
My name is Carey, I am trying to help my sister with her horse Trigger.

Trigger is my sister Chelsey’s 18 year old solid paint horse. She has had him since he was 11 months old and she was 13 years old which she trained him herself.

For the last 18 years, he has been her sidekick, her best friend and her everything!
Trigger has brought happiness to not only Chelsey, but thousands of people young and elder! He is the reason they started their business Horse N Round Fun!

Trigger has always been healthy his whole life until last week when he became lame in his back leg. Chelsey immediately began to do everything she knew how to do to help him. After a couple days of no progress she took him to her vet, Bella Vista.

2/16-2/19 Friday-Monday Trigger was in the care of Bella Vista with them doing everything they could. He had blown an abscess and his infection was getting worse! The decision was made to take him to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky where they specialize in podiatry in horses and would give him the best chance over OSU.

If you know Chelsey and Cody then you know they love their animals unconditionally and would do anything to help them! Right now the vet bills are stacking up. As of today the bills are close to $8000 combined and still climbing as Trigger is still there. They estimated a rough amount of $15,000 if he’s lucky for the minimal 5 days that he will be in Kentucky. The price can very easily go up depending on many variables & the longer he is there while he’s fighting for his life. If Trigger pulls through this, then he will have a long recovery ahead with many more visits to the vet with a chance of more treatments or surgery’s.

The Bush family is trying to sell almost everything they have to raise the money for Trigger to have a chance. They absolutely hate to ask anyone for help but they are in a really hard spot right now!

If you feel led to donate anything I know they would greatly appreciate any help!
Even $1.00 can make a big impact!

Here is one of the post from Chelsey

“Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement and prayers for those who have been following Trigger’s story.

I absolutely don’t like asking for anything.
No to answer manys question, I don’t have a gofundme and not sure how it works as I’ve never done one.

We were hit the hardest we ever have been in our absolute financially slowest month of the year with $5k in major truck repairs that are essential for our business and much more this month alone and now Trigger.
We exhausted every penny we had put back.
His vet bills alone will be well into 5 digits.
I know we have a standing balance of about $2k at Bella Vista (our main vet that saw him first) which they are working with us to make payments in a couple weeks.
As of yesterday morning, Rood & Riddle was over $3500 and is estimated to quadruple that in a couple more days putting us over $15,000 & climbing.
Thankfully they aren’t demanding it now like OSU does. But we do need to get them chunks.

If it doesn’t put anyone in a financial hard spot and you feel led to help, I’m sure you can call either vet (Bella Vista Equine Veterinary Services out of Blacklick, OH or Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital out of Lexington, KY)
or if it’s easier to send, we do have

I honestly have no idea how we are going to do it but we are listing everything we possibly can without hurting our business or farm. One way or another, we will find a way. Appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, words of encouragement and more. Trigger has to pull through this!”

From Chelsey,

I grew up in Grove City and many have seen my famous horse Trigger, in drive thru’s, stores, birthday parties, nursing homes, schools, churches and so much more.
He’s the reason we started our business as a hobby almost 10 years ago. He was my first horse I got at 11 months old.
He’s in bad shape fighting for his life as we transferred him to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Please read his story and updates on my page or business page Horse -N- Round Fun LLC

We have a new way to save him but time is of the essence as he’s going to end up foundering on his good hoof.
Please go read and if you feel led to help at all if it doesn’t put you in a hard spot, we and Trigger appreciate it as we are doing all we can to save him
