Hi Everyone,
In June of 2015, shortly after graduating college, my younger sister Erin was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Luckily, we caught it somewhat early, and she's on the road to recovery. Shortly after her surgery to remove the cancer, we found out that she was going to need to go through fairly extensive radiation in order to kill the remaining cancer cells. Erin will be doing radioactive iodine, followed by 6 weeks of radiation therapy. She's been a trooper throughout the entire process. Let's show her that she's not in this fight alone, and with some help, encouragement and a little love, we'll carry her across the finish line.
I told Erin that if she had to go through radiation therapy, that I would run a triathlon for her. Its nowhere near the fight she'll be battling, but as her big brother, its the least I can do to help her through it.
My goal is to raise $2K for thyroid cancer research! All of the funds donated to this page will go directly to ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors Association. The funds are vital to continued research and medical advancements. Here's the website: http://www.thyca.org/
