A few weeks ago my sister Trish finally went and got the mammogram I had been continually bugging her to get! They found a dark mass in her right breast they were unsure of.
On August 4th they performed a biopsy on it. And the news came back on August 9th that the mass was indeed cancer.
She was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma, which we found out from her doctor means the cancer attacks the estrogen in her body.
According to her breast surgeon, the mass will have to be surgically removed and she will need radiation treatments. There is a great possibility to win this battle, but she will be on medication to block the cancer from attacking the estrogen for the rest of her life.
August 18th we will be going to the oncologist for her treatment plan and her course of action.
She does have health insurance, but the out of pocket costs will be overwhelming for her. She has a long road ahead of her and with treatments, surgeries and missing work, the expenses will consume her savings and extra money she has quickly.
100% of any donations will go directly to Tricia for medical and living expenses.
I understand times are tough and this pandemic has crippled us and our economy. If you can't donate monetarily, please say a quick prayer for my sister, she needs them now more than ever.
Please share this!
Also, we will be having a benefit in October (more info to come), if you would like to donate items for giveaways or food, etc please get with me direct. They will not let me post my email on here, so pm me on Facebook
