Tricia's Double Lung Transplant Journey

Tricia is living with an incurable lung disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis and is in serious need of a double lung transplant.  She was first diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2015. Unfortunately, there is no cure with the average life expectancy being 2-5 years. The only option for survival is a lung transplant.  

She has been accepted at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh for the transplant.  This will require ongoing treatment in Pittsburgh for 1 year after the transplant.  She will be going next month for a 1 week evaluation, then she will need to be there for 2-4 weeks after surgery and she will need to go every 3 months following for 3 days at a time. 

We would like to help with airfare, lodging, meals, etc. for herself and a caretaker during this time.  She must also maintain her home expenses as well for herself and her son. 

She is not the type of person to ask for help, but she really needs everyone's help to make this happen.  She has always worked hard for everything she has in life all while being a single mother and taking care of her own mother.  She was a Hospice Nurse for many years until this disease started to take over. 

We love her to pieces and I know everyone who is blessed to have her in their lives does too. Please help us keep our Tricia around for a really long time!
