One of our dear friends and members of our Pine Creek basketball family tragically and unexpectedly lost her sister this week. In typical, strong, stoic Trice fashion her focus is to pick up all the pieces and take care of Kaya, her mom, her siblings and extended family.

Yolanda shared half the responsibility of rent, utilities, and other household bills which now falls solely on Trice. In an effort to keep Trice and Kaya in their home, we are hoping to provide time and resources while she grieves the loss of her sister to figure out how to move forward. For the many that have asked how they can help, please consider donating whatever you’re willing. Our goal is to help Trice and Kaya with a year of rent and other household bills that Yolanda was responsible for. We are estimating $16,000 to keep them in their home for the next year which would have been Yolanda’s portion.

Trice is a dear friend of ours and a friend to many others. She is generous and genuine and always the first to ask how she can help when others are in need. Kaya is adored by her teammates, coaches, friends and family. We don’t want any more changes that would unnecessarily uproot or cause more uncertainty.
