Tribute to Titen, Sage and Zylo Badger

Donation protected

Update: I was fortunate enough to received a phone call from Jamie Lynn who has not left Sages side since the shooting. Sage would like to thank everybody for the out pour of support for him and his family. Sage wants people to know that him and Titen recently moved back to Sucker Creek and were looking  forward finishing the work that him Titen started on their first home together.  Heal fast Sage! Let’s finish that home you started with your bro!

Titen Badger and his brothers Sage and Zylo are from Sucker Creek First Nation.
Zylo is 15. He likes to play basketball and is in grade 10. Titen was 19 and Sage 21 together they loved  to restore old vehicles and spend time together. They live with their father Leo, little brother, Brock.
On the night of April 3, 2021 the boys all attended a planned birthday celebration at an outdoor party. The celebration was winding down when vehicles pulled in to the party. Three people wearing balaclavas, they got out of the vehicles with guns, a rifle, shot gun and a hand gun. They then opened fire on the boys. Zylo was shot first. Sage jumped in to help his baby brother and was shot 3 times in the back the bullet is still lodged in his spine. He also suffered 2 broken arms.  Titen seeing what was happing to his brothers jumped in his Bronco to ram the shooters. He too was shot. He was critically wounded and died at the scene. His heroic act saved the other people at the party from certain harm. Zylo was shot with a shotgun and had over 60 pellets imbedded in his legs. They are unsure if he will every get to play basketball again. He is in the Stollery hospital in Edmonton. Sage has numerous internal  injuries and has two broken arms. He is in serious condition in Grande Prairie hospital.

No one has been charged with the murder of Titen or the attempted murder of Zylo and Sage at this time.
The lives of Zylo and Sage will never be the same. Their close knit family will be forever changed by this senseless act.
Zylo and Sage will come home eventually and will need to learn to live with the physical consequences of their injuries. It is not known how catastrophic the injuries will be.
Titaen will come home to be honoured and buried.
The trauma of such an horrific act of violence will haunt the family forever. The loss of their brother will never be forgotten.

This GoFundMe is being established to help with the funeral costs for Titen, and  the  unexpected costs of being away from home and spending time  in two different hospitals in two different cities.  Also, funds will be used to help the boys in ways they may need once they are able to be home.

If you can, please donate to this GoFundMe account. If you are unable to donate this way please use  etransfer or cash donations to Leo Badger JR at his email: [email redacted]no amount is too small. This is a very proud, humble family in need of community support.      Especially in this time of unimaginable pain      and  shock.

Thank you so much,
