Tribute To Mrs. Bernice Thaxton

The children and family of Bernice Thaxton are in deep mourning as they announce the unexpected passing of their dear mother. Bernice was a woman of grace and conviction with selfless, giving qualities which were evident in both her personal and professional life.

Bernice and her husband, The Reverend Warren Thaxton, who preceded her in death raised their children in a loving Christian home. Bernice was Warren's strong, devoted partner and phenomenal First Lady of the churches he pastored.

Her 30 plus years career as an educator was spent teaching at elementary level, where her talent and skills working with her students were deeply appreciated by her colleagues and parents. Bernice received numerous accolades and public recognition for her teaching leadership.
