It is with great sadness that we inform you the unexpected demise of our beloved Muthukumar Venkatachalam (known as Kumar or Muthu). Kumar was always cheerful, positive and very helpful to the known and unknown. He always went above and beyond to help many of us that worked with him. He is survived by his wife and two children (Son 17 and Daughter 10).
Kumar’s unexpected death occurred at his home in Wildewood in Columbia, SC at around 8:30AM on 21-Jan-2019. Kumar was going through serious illness and was on leave of absence.
Kumar was the main earning member of the family. His sudden demise puts the family not only under tremendous grief, but also under extreme financial stress.
We are putting together this Go Fund Me account to
1. Help Kumar’s family to pay the bills:
They would need to safeguard their current home to live by paying considerable mortgage, college admission/expenses for their Son and support for living expenses until Kumar’s wife is able to get extra skills developed to generate additional income.
2. Endowment for children's education:
Kumar loved his children very much and he went above and beyond for excellent upbringing with good morals and behavior. We are all aware of the educational expenses in the USA. The money that you donate would be used for creating an endowment fund to help support the education of his children in the immediate future for their Son as well as in the future for their Daughter.
3. Settling any debt / expenses:
The credit card payments, funeral expense will be taken care using the funds collected. Also, we do not want the family to suffer financially for any urgent cash requirements.
The raised money will be used to help the family handle any current/near future expenses and also help Kumar’s wife Suba, to get job related training. We will ensure that the money is properly managed with the help of the family’s financial advisor.
We humbly request that you support this cause. Many of us could put ourselves in Kumar’s shoes. Abruptly his life was lost and his family's life has become extremely difficult. While we can never replace what this family has lost, we are only trying to help this family to overcome some of the financial troubles by extending our support.
