Tribute to Joyce Ricci

Donation protected
Joyce has given to the town of Killingly her entire life. One of her final wishes, Joyce expressed the desire to extend her community service by donating something in her name to Parks & Recreation at Owen Bell Park in Danielson, Connecticut. The Ricci Family is working with administration at the park to identify the donation that will have the most impact while representing Joyce.

Update:
FROM THE WINY RADIO NEWSROOM: (KILLINGLY) “Our big project I’m really excited about is the ‘Joyce Ricci Pavilion’ that we’re going to be building soon. As everyone knows, Joyce had passed away, and the family did a GoFundMe page, and they wanted the proceeds to go to Killingly Parks and Recreation to do something at Owen Bell Park,” Lohbusch explained. “Bruno, our parks maintenance guy, came up with the idea of putting a new pavilion up near Ra Ra’s Ice Cream stand. What’s awesome about that is we have the seniors who usually used that pavilion which is not there anymore, and it was handicap-accessible so we had a lot of handicapped people that used to hang down there when they’d come down, so we want to build another pavilion.”

Thanks from Susan Bishop (Joyce’s daughter)
