Barry was a construction worker at the Meriton site Iconica on the Gold Coast. For months he was talking about a project car that he was looking at, he finally had the money together to be able to purchase his project and organised to collect it. On the day he was to go collect this car, he was heading home on his motorcycle after work and he was struck by a car pulling out of the verge. After a few hard days of battling, Barrys injuries unfortunately were too great and he passed away.

I went and bought the ute in his stead out of my money to hold on to the vehicle for him in the hopes he would come back to us, unfortunately that is not the case. Now the plan is to make the vehicle a representation of the man Barry King was, and will forever be remembered as. Any money you can give will go to the right place and any funds leftover after the build of the vehicle will be forwarded onto the family.

The photos of the build and finished product of the vehicle will be posted to social media and made known about.
