Tribute for Amber Hernandez

Hi, I'm Laura. I'm one of Amber's best friends. I never thought that I would be asking for help or creating a go fund me for an unexpected death. I'm devastated to share that Amber lost her battle with covid due to complications. She left this world on August 7th after a short battle with this awful sickness. Paul also has been sick with covid and it will be some time before he is able to return to work.
Amber brought so much joy, laughter, love, and kindness to everyone around her. She was a devoted wife, amazing mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a hole in many hearts.
She loved her son Malakai with her entire heart. In a recent Facebook post, she talked about how she is sad that she isn't able to freeze time and wanted to do a Peter Pan photo shoot for her son and take him to Neverland. She also included a ghost buster photo shoot she had done previously with him. She was always so creative and would do anything to bring a smile to his face. Her husband Paul was her world. I'm not sure I've ever met two people more perfectly suited to each other. They were truly the best of friends and I couldn't have imagined a better match for my friend.
Marie lost one of her best friends and oldest daughter. Many times when I spoke with Amber she filled me in on the latest with her mother or would tell me the latest update they were planning to her home. This has been a tough year for them because they lost Amber's father less than a year ago.
Amber was always plotting to sneak away and move to Alabama with her sister Megan. She missed her so much and was counting down the days that she could live near her again. Amber's family took a trip this summer to Alabama and Florida to see Megan and Jon. I am glad they will always have those memories to cherish. Zach and Rebecca were another of Amber's pride and joys. She raved about their daughter Ziva and how much she loved babysitting her.
She was one of the best friends I've ever known. She leaves a hole in our friend group that no one will ever be able to fill. No words I can come up with will do her justice to how amazing she was.
As a celebration of her life, we have started a fundraiser to support her family. Her sudden passing has left unexpected costs for her husband, Paul. The money will be used for funeral expenses, medical costs, loss of income for Paul due to being out of work sick, childcare, and financial support for the upcoming months.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
With love,
Laura
