Tribute for Amarjit Singh's Tragic Passing

Sadh Sangat Ji

As you all may have heard Amarjit Singh Gill left us all tragically on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in the early morning hours in a tragic car accident. Never in our worst nightmares did we ever think we would be writing something like this. Amarjit was full of life and full of joy and full of laughter. A great friend to all and most importantly an even greater son and brother.

Amarjit had graduated as valedictorian of Henry Hudson High School in 2017 and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer from Rutgers University, graduating in 2021 with high honors. He had a very promising career at AEA Systems in Cranbury, New Jersey where all of his co-workers and managers spoke very highly of him. They were astonished by Amarjit's ability to grasp his complex workload so quickly. Even though Amarjit had just begun at this new job a few months ago, his managers and leadership at the company saw that he had a bright future. They even said that Amarjit would have been promoted to a manager position very soon, on the accelerated track compared to his peers

Amarjit loved playing sports and more specifically, basketball. He played varsity basketball and high school and throughout his college career he had played basketball recreationally. He participated in all of the Sikh Games, Carteret Games and Sikh hoops playing the game that he had loved.

He was the biggest Kobe Bryant and Lakers fan and was always willing to have a discussion about basketball and share his love for the game with everyone around him.

Amarjit was a very outgoing and kind person. He would never shy from talking to anyone and making friends with them. He saw the good in those around him and was one of the most dependable friends you could have.

We all experience highs and lows in our lifetime, but this has left Amarjit's mom, dad, and sister along with his entire family very devastated. All Amarjit ever wanted to do was continue succeeding in life and to continue making his parents proud. Life can be so cruel and unfair to some. He always had the biggest smile and respected everyone around him. Family and friends have set up this Go Fund Me fund to construct something in his memory.

We will continue to update this page with further details as we get to know them.
