This is incredibly uncomfortable for me to post.  So many close friends and clients have urged me to start a GoFundMe to guarantee a strong reopening of Tribute Beauty Lounge.  Tribute has always been on a mission to give back.  We support 40 nonprofits and I urge you, if you have some money to give, please give to one of those first!!  Since March 19, 2020, my ability to work and collect rent from my stylists has been paralyzed by bureaucracy.  I have found away and even though the salon has been mostly closed in that time, I have paid the rent and all the utilities.  Now that it’s been 6 months, things are getting very creative.  We do plan to open.  I see my staff as family and I feel I need to keep a roof over their head.  It’s rumored that we may not be allowed to open at all this year.  Technically we are only able to do haircuts and no chemical services and these haircuts are only allowed outdoors.  In the midst of all of these fun challenges, I take care of my grandmother who is in a wheelchair and mostly in bed.  I have a special van for her wheelchair and a week ago it died and can’t be fixed.  I absolutely cannot be without transportation for her, so I am purchasing a new wheelchair van for her.  Several friends wanted to help with the salon and with the van, so they asked me to create a platform to contribute.  Like I said, if you are trying to decide between helping my business and grandmother, or donating to a nonprofit, please donate to the nonprofit first!  This is simply a platform if anyone is moved to contribute.
