The project fuses the artistic forces of local musicians and artists centered on songwriter Mick Heron's song, "Never Gonna Fade," which resonates the healing power that continues to emanate from the community since that tragic day.
Hungry to give life to art in the community, Laura Turon conceptualized and founded “Paradox Traveling Art,” an art installation, on a school bus, that travels to communities with limited or no accessibility to art spaces. An energetic and loving spirit, she wishes to continue collaborating with local communities to develop/promote the importance of art, representing diverse talent in the Borderplex.
The Paradox Traveling Art installation will transmit the soothing sounds of "Never Gonna Fade" at 23 different sites beginning August 3rd at Keystone Heritage Park, the project launch site. Each stop will then showcase a new local artist and creation to inspire healing and commemorate the victims and community.
Tribute 23 is founded on music, art, nature and most importantly, love. All funds donated to the innovation would help pay for project expenses and be allocated to local artists and the promotion of businesses that makes El Paso a unique destination and hold the economic fabric of the community together.
