Triangle Beauty + Wellness Worker Relief Fund

We in the beauty and wellness industries are being forced, if not by mandate then by social responsibility, to shutter or drastically alter our businesses to do our part to help stem the tide of this pandemic. The fact of the matter is that most small businesses - particularly those in beauty and wellness - operate on very thin margins, and are almost entirely dependent on being able to see their clients in person to generate income. Most of us only have a small cushion to deal with service interruptions or emergencies. When faced with an indefinite suspension or limiting of operations, many of your favorite businesses are unable to make guarantees to their staff regarding their pay. 

The need to create a safety net for these beloved service providers is urgent and real. We are creating this fund to help beauty and wellness workers with immediate financial relief. There will be a process for workers to submit their information and receive funds. Funds will not go to businesses or operating expenses but to workers to assist with lost wages. We are actively seeking advisement on setting up and managing this system efficiently and with the highest transparency and integrity. We want to help as many people as possible.

The small business community is going to need the help of our communities and our local and federal governments to survive this. We are the strongest when we lift each other up and work together.
