6 Friends Swim for Fire Relief - Channel Swim

6 friends come together to swim 19.7km from Cottesloe to Rottnest Island February 20. Help us support those in need as we use the water to symbolise hope to extinguish the destructive flames of the fires.

Sam Colvin, Kelsey Roberts, Meg Cousins,        Claire Hawkins, Rosie Farrell, Nicola Roszak

Water and fire symbolize life, fertility, creativity and inspiration in cultures around the world. A the same time, water and fire also represent loss, death, and destruction. Water and fire-are mutually destructive—water will extinguish a flame, just as fire will boil water away to nothing.

Do you want to joints  in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of The Lord Mayor Distress Relief Fund and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

More information about The Lord Mayor Distress Relief Fund: The LMDRF was used as the official state fund to raise and coordinate donations to support the victims of natural disasters occurring within Western Australia during the 2015/16 period. City of Perth administers the LMDRF. All administration costs are wholly absorbed by the City of Perth, so 100 per cent of all money donated go directly to those in need. More than $10 million was raised for the Esperance Fires that occurred in November 2015 and the Waroona and District Fire in January 2016. 100% of donations were distributed to over 550 applicants who lost their homes and/or other property and to the next of kin of those individuals who lost their lives as a result of these two disasters
