Homeless veteran

Hi, my name is Claire.

I have a really lovely friend in need. I don't know how he will feel about being named, so I will just call him john for now.

John was a soldier for 15 years and proudly served his country through tours of Iraq and Afghanistan.

John seen some terrible things, including his very good friend getting shot and killed.

John was never the same.

He never really had much family, or contact with the few he had. He came out of the army on medical discharge with PTSD and several other issues, already from a traumatic childhood.

Due to his declining mental health and the loss of his previous dog, John fell behind on mortgage payments and is now sadly losing his home.

He has another dog now, a beautiful girl who he can't live without. She's his everything. So rehoming him will be a challenge. But this girl literally keeps him alive.

The threat of his upcoming eviction has become too much and John is barely able to go on at all.

I fear for his life.

I've many people getting things for free, fleecing our system for years and yet our soldiers are struggling with only the help of a few charities.

It's heart breaking. John has done so much for charity. Going without himself to help others. I would really love for him to see that people do care and that he's not alone.

So if anyone can help to get him set up with a home, rental, anything. Even just a pound could add up, It would mean so much to him.
