My name is Trey, and I’m reaching out for support as I take the biggest step of my life toward healing and recovery. Growing up, I faced a lot of pain—my childhood was marked by abuse at home, and my father, who struggled with addiction, passed away in prison. For years, I didn’t know how to cope with fear or stress, so I numbed myself instead of facing the issues that caused me pain. But recently, I’ve started to unpack all the vulnerable things I kept inside, and I want others to know that healing is possible. If I can do it, so can you.
Now, I have the opportunity to attend a year-long treatment program in California that will provide me with therapy, food, and a safe place to stay. I’ve been clean for 52 days—something I’m incredibly proud of—and I’ve never felt more alive or clear minded. To make this new start possible, I need help covering my insurance deductible, as well as essentials like hygiene products, clean clothes, and food for the trip. The deadline to pay the insurance is January 31st, and I hope to leave for California at the start of February, so time is of the essence.
This isn’t just a blessing for me—it’s something I want to give back. My dream is to become certified in addiction therapy so I can help others who are suffering in silence. I hope my story encourages others to ask for help, because nobody can save you unless you reach out. I am so grateful for anyone who supports me on this journey. With your help, I can heal and, in turn, help others find hope and recovery. Thank you for believing in me and being part of my fresh start.
