The driver was intoxicated but thankfully he made the choice to call 911 which I believe saved his life, my husband was life flighted to Enloe medical center he was not expected to survive but God has other plans for my husband and he is still with us! He is awaiting his second surgery now to repair his legs they will be placing rods in both legs from the knee down..he is facing a long hard road to recovery with rehab and physical therapy. He is very upset he will not be able to support his family for a long time and the driver was uninsured of course.
