On August 13th, the love of my life Trevor Pennucci attempted suicide. He shot himself underneath his chin, and by some miracle, the bullet stopped in his nose next to his left eye. The number 13 has always been Trevor's favorite number and his angels were watching him very closely that day. 

Luckily, I was home when everything took place and I was able to apply pressure to the wound and call for help in just enough time. Trevor is such a kind and caring soul, he has been battling his demons for ages. He was struggling with his own happiness and feeling unworthy. God granted him another chance at life, giving him a new perspective on happiness. 

I was standing next to him whenever everything happened, the look of regret in his eyes that night is forever burned into my memory. It was like we telepathically communicated and he had not realized what life meant to him until that moment. 

 Trevor was on life support for 36 hours, leaving him in the ICU for 4 days. He has a broken upper jaw and shattered his lower jaw. The soft tissue on the floor of his mouth sustained many injuries resulting in tissue damage. The pallet on the roof of his mouth is torn open and may result in a permanent hole if he does not heal properly. He also suffers a broken nose, as the bullet had luckily stopped near his left eye, he is missing just about half of his teeth. In the future, we are working towards getting him dental implants so that he may one day eat traditionally again. His jaw is wired shut only allowing him to eat through a pediatric feeding tube that enters through his nose and is connected to his stomach. If all of his healing throughout the next couple weeks goes well, he will have another surgery on his lower jaw and then another on the top. Unfortunately, Trevor does not have medical insurance and cannot work due to the fact that he can't speak and is at high risk for infection as a result of the many open wounds.

Every day is a new day and with each new day, we are blessed to have him on this Earth. The money that is donated will go towards his medical bills, medication, and anything else he needs to keep him afloat. Any amount of donations will be touched deeply by Trevor's heart. We are praying that he makes it through this and can live life to see better days.
