Hi, My name is Andrew Duxbury & I'm fundraising for Trevor Lunn
Back in the spring 2024 Trevor went off sick with what he believed was a bad back. And Trevor never went off sick! After many visits to the GP’s & specialists at the hospital, eventually he was diagnosed with a Dural Arteriovenous Fistula in the T7 Vertebra. A condition that is so rare it effects just 1 in a million people & because of this it is extremely difficult to diagnose initially when the possibility of a full recovery is fundamental.
This wasn’t caused through an accident; it was just pure bad luck.
Trevor had major surgery on his back last year as he by this point was unable to walk. He spent many months afterwards in hospital recovering before being released back home to further his rehabilitation with his partner, Laura & two children.
Currently Trevor’s mobility is very poor, he is in constant pain with his back & other related issues. Trevor can still only walk a short distance on crutches & most of the time is confined to his wheelchair. The outlook on making a recovery is unfortunately an unknown due to the uncommonness. Trevor is still receiving treatment from the NHS at home.
Sadly a few weeks ago as Trevor is not in a position to return to work, his employment with us here at GXO came to an end. For now.
Trevor has a mountain to climb to get anywhere near where he used to be physically & there are many adaptations required at home to help Trevor move forward & spend quality time with his family. So I am asking if you if you could help donate to Trevor’s go fund me page to help towards the financial burden this situation has left the family in. Any donations no matter how small would be massively appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
