On Monday, March 24th, 2025, it seemed just another ordinary day for the Kessel family; everyone did their normal Monday routine. A "normal" day became one of the worst days most families can't imagine. It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Trevor. He left us unexpectedly, leaving behind cherished memories and grieving family and friends.
As we navigate this loss, we are reaching out for support to help the Kessel family while they figure out their new normal. Unexpected costs include funeral expenses, medical bills, and some financial relief for Trevor's girls during this difficult time.
Everyone knew Trevor, and if you didn't, you probably heard of him from his family and friends. He was a pillar of our community. Trevor was a community member involved with the Balgonie Curling Club, Balgonie Dinner Theatre, and Balgonie Dance & Twirl. Trevor would give you the shirt off his back and would do anything for anybody!
He was his daughter's biggest cheerleader, no matter if it was school, work, or one of their many activities. He was ready to cheer them on, go on field trips, and travel across the province (or country) if that's what it took to be with his girls. Trevor loved his girls; they were his pride and joy, and he was very proud of them. His family and friends were so important; he loved them deeply, showing it in his Trevor way. Kelly and Trevor were high school sweethearts, best friends, and married for 21 years.
While nothing can fill the empty hole in our hearts, your generosity and prayers mean the world to his family. If you can donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support.
The girls and I would like to express how incredibly thankful we are to everyone who has reached out and support us during this tragic time. No one is ever prepared to loose the foundation of family. But our family, friends and community held us together at our worst possible moment, and gave us the strength to carry on.
Thank you to everyone who sent food, (and continue to send food) flowers, cards, donated to the go fund me page, and all of you who donated and helped make Trevor’s celebration of life incredible. We are completely blown away by all who attended the service! Never did we believe people would be standing outside during the service!!
Thanks to all of you who check in daily, and have supported the girls and I as we attempt to navigate back into our chaotic routine of life.
Our community is amazing and I am proud to say I live here with my family.
Our circle has made our lives a little bit easier during this time we would love to thank you all personally, (but i just cant hug anymore)
Love you all.
