Help Trevor Jr attend the BEE VT Engineering Camp

Greetings all! My name is Trevor Mayfield Sr. I am requesting assistance via gofundme for my 15-year-old/ rising Jr (c/o 2025) son, Trevor Mayfield Jr. After a rigorous and competitive vetting process, Trevor Jr. has been selected to attend the Black Engineering Excellence (BEE VT) program, hosted by Virginia Tech this summer. As an aspiring Astrophysicist and Astronaut, Trevor Jr. attends Cross Creek Early College High School in Fayetteville, NC. He is number one in his class, with a 4.38 GPA. His NASA Techrise team was one of 52 teams selected nationwide to develop and send a payload into space to collect lunar dust samples, measure the amount of ozone, measure the wavelengths of light that are detected, and the amount of energy collected through a solar panel in the Troposphere/Lower Stratosphere. Recently his two-person Science Olympiad astronomy team took first place regionally. The tuition for the BEE VT program is $2,000 dollars. However, he has been awarded a $500 dollar scholarship, and we are looking for help meeting the remaining $1,500 dollar requirement.
