Trevor Hawley, rebuild Motorcycle Dreams

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Lee Ann Hawley, my son's business, Motorcycle Dreams was destroyed by fire. Please take time to read his story and help bring his dreams back.
This GoFundme is being set up to help Trevor Hawley rebuild his business “Motorcycle Dreams” a popular local shop specializing in vintage and pre-80s used Harley Davidson motorcycles and parts. Over the last 7 years, Trevor has built this business and his dream. Starting out in a 10x10 steel shed in 2016, quickly moving up to a 20 foot storage unit. In 2020, he moved into two 40’ shipping containers that were connected. Later that same year he moved into a 20x50 unit in the warehouse. Over the next three years, he expanded to include two more units. The amount of parts and inventory he had was unbelievable. Trevor has become a well-known and respected name in the Harley Davidson community because of his knowledge, integrity, and work ethic.
Trevor has been buying and selling vintage and pre-80s Harley parts, sponsoring swap meets, and serving customers all across the country. Motorcycle Dreams was Trevor’s life dream. He has worked extremely hard to build this business. He put everything he had into making his dream come to fruition, growing his name and reputation in this market, and contributing to the community. Unfortunately, the warehouse fire at the Isle of Wight industrial park off Iwip Road, which started in another tenant’s unit, has almost completely destroyed his business, which was run out of the warehouse. We are extremely grateful that no one was hurt in the fire and our hearts go out to all of the tenants that have suffered so much loss.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the “used motorcycle part” business and difficulty in assessing values on used parts, he was unable to obtain insurance on his inventory and other assets. He will have to start from scratch and rebuild his dream without any form of financial assistance available to him. We are hopeful and determined to do whatever we can to help him bring his dream back and get Motorcycle Dreams up and running as quickly as possible. To just name a few things that he needs to do to get up and running: obtain space to work out of (pay deposits, rents, set up to function, etc.), get a computer and printer, order all packing supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, shipping labels, etc.), purchase shelving units, tables, tools (all his tools were destroyed), to include motorcycle lifts, compressors, etc. Not to mention buying more inventory.
With your help, we believe that we can help Trevor and his family recover from this tragic event, and come out stronger and better than ever. Thank you in advance for your help, support, and prayers.
