Trevor Burrows Farm-Aid
Donation protected
Hi friends, ♥️ I created this page to share with you about a good friend and family in our small farming community of Tuscumbia, MO; Trevor and Alicia Burrows. Trevor and Alicia have two children, Rylee, 13, and AJ, 9. They have lived in this community and have generational roots in the farming community. Toward the end of January this year, Trevor had been frequently experiencing numbness and tingling in his arm, coupled with blurred vision. Upon a visit to the ER, where a CT scan was done, they discovered a mass on his brain. After further testing, it was decided that Trevor would have to undergo a craniotomy, which he received Monday, March 27th. The tumor was located deep within the mid-brain at the brain stem. Surgery was successful in removing the tumor and recovery time was to be 8 weeks. Unfortunately, Trevor is still on the road to recovery. The tumor was malignant, so he has started Chemo treatments. He’s had a multitude of additional issues since his original surgery. Trevor has had pneumonia twice; one of those times it was necrotizing pneumonia. He has had three EVDs and a VP shunt was inserted to relieve pressure off the brain. He has undergone three subsequent shunt revisions because of malfunctioning.
Trevor’s latest procedure was on August 2nd, where the Neuro Team completed an Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy (ETV), which creates an opening in the floor of the third ventricle in his brain to allow the spinal fluid to flow out and be absorbed by the body. Unfortunately, with the diagnosis and multiple surgeries happening so suddenly, it left very little time for Trevor and his family to prepare.
Trevor has been operating a P-2 Nursery site, consisting of two barns for the last 12 years on top of 400 or so acres of row crops. However, his unexpected diagnosis, subsequent surgeries, and complications have prevented Trevor and his family from being able to operate as they normally would. Fortunately, there are many that have graciously stepped in to help with the barns, crops, kids, and anything else that they can do to minimize the stress of their current situation.
As you can imagine, even with all of the help they have received there is still a large amount of expenses on top of the medical charges that they have accumulated.
If you feel called to make a monetary donation, please know that it is going to a wonderful family. They don’t make many guys like Trevor, and we all are anxious for him to recover so he can keep us all entertained with his impressions and hilarious stories! Trevor, Alicia, Rylee, and AJ appreciate all the support they have been given these last several months and I know how grateful they are for any help…financial, or otherwise.
Thank you ALL for your donations of time, money and especially your PRAYERS!
With Gratitude,
