Trevor Bukowski's Senior Thesis Film
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!
My name is Trevor Bukowski. I am a Film Studies and Production Major at Hofstra University, currently working on my senior thesis film, Charlatan. After four years of studies I finally get the chance to put my knowledge and talent to use. This project is the culmination of my four years at Hofstra and the most pivotal film in my career thus far.
Charlatan is about a young woman who finds refuge from a heartless city in the comfort of her friend’s apartment, only to find out he’s committed to a life of solitude. During that night, both characters learn to be honest with themselves about who they are and recognize the darker forces motivating their actions. This film explores the ways we conceal ourselves from others, and our addictions to the sense pleasures and spectacles that define our culture.
In order to make this film I am asking for $4,000. This money will be used to cover the many production expenses that are instrumental in making this film the best it can be. Although Hofstra University provides most of the equipment, they do not offer any other financial assistance. As of now I am funding this film completely with the money I’ve saved up while working in New York and need as much help as I can.
Production Costs include:
-Paying Actors
-Location Fees
-Transportation
-Art
-Craft Services & Catering
If you have the money to donate I would greatly appreciate any financial assistance. If you don’t have the money to donate but still want to contribute in some way, sharing the promotional video and GoFundMe page on any social media platform would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Trevor Bukowski
