My motivation to overcome these obstacles is the fact that I’m well aware that I am destined for greatness. From a young age it was evident to me that I was not meant to be a follower and people were drawn to me because I was not afraid to voice my opinion and give ideas. Howard has been my dream school since I began high school and I have been blessed to receive acceptance into the school. However, due to my family's financial situation, it has been a tedious fight to find ways to pay for my cost of attendance and I'm accepting any form of assistance. I am meant to make a difference in this world and I will get there through secondary education. Therefore, I see the need to work as hard as possible and be proficient in college by any means necessary. It’s definitely not easy to adjust to a new environment, but I have no problem with being devoted and putting in the work to be the best student possible.
At age 6, my father was no longer consistently in my life. My mother quickly became exhausted as she was forced to take on the responsibility of both parent roles. I always appreciated the things she taught me, but it was obvious that there were some lessons that only a father could teach. Through working multiple jobs and still maintaining stability in a household with two sons, at times it was definitely a struggle where I was forced to teach myself certain skills. It was important to learn how to save money be innovative with things you have and be appreciative of the blessings you have received. I've applied for several scholarships and reached out to political leaders for assistance. I created this page to cut the cost of my tuition. Any assistance would be appreciated in helping me achieve excellence in my secondary education.
