Trevaun's Recovery Fund

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my Go Fund Me page for my son Trevaun! This page is to assist the family with ongoing therapy equipment, medication and medical costs associated with Tre's long term injuries from being senselessly shot nine times at point blank range.

Here is a little bit of his story....

In June of 2016, he was attending a playoff party and was in the company of a female another female also was in attendance and was upset that he was accompanied by someone other than her. They had words, she left the party and came back with two males. One of which fought my son and the other one who opened fire and started shooting at him and his friend.
Trevaun endured multiple gun shot wounds that caused several injuries. He had to be tube fed for 22 days. He suffered damage to his liver and pancreas. He was shot twice in the lungs. He was hit in the spine and has spinal fractures to two of his vertebrae. He was shot in the buttocks and his elbow. His kidneys are bruised. He was shot in the head through his right temple and the bullet is still lodged in his head. The doctors say he could possibly lose his sight if they attempted to remove the bullet. He lost his spleen, 25% of his stomach had to be removed as well as a portion of his small bowels and colon. He has to have a colostomy bag attached to him indefinitely. He has endured nine surgeries thus far and there may be more to come.

Trevaun's injuries left him disabled, in excruciating pain and requiring round the clock care. He requires the use of a walker and a full torso brace anytime he is up out of bed. He lives in constant fear as these criminals are still at large. He suffers from PTSD, anxiety and panic attacks. Trevaun continues to fight for a full recovery. He has not given up although it is mentally and physically difficult for a young man his age to lose all his independence over night. This ordeal has truly taken a toll on our entire family. He not only continues to fight daily to rehabilitate himself but he also intends to fight for change in our society as an advocate against senseless gun violence.
